TERACAI® named CenterState CEO Business of the Year SYRACUSE, N.Y. - TERACAI® Corporation was named CenterState Corporation for Economic Opportunity's 2011 Business of the Year in the category of companies with fewer than 50 employees.
Since its inception in April 2009, TERACAI has helped its customers – commercial, healthcare, and education – build, manage and optimize their core networking, communication, and data center solutions.
"We're very proud to have been selected as Business of the Year," said William G. Pomeroy, founder and CEO for TERACAI. "We launched TERACAI in 2009, and in this short time our highly motivated team has embraced a strong culture of customer service. They have done a tremendous job delivering virtualization and unified communications solutions to our customers."
TERACAI has consistently improved in its financial performance and innovative business practices over the past two years. Overall, TERACAI grew 49% in 2010 (over 2009) during a transitional year where it laid the foundation for a shift from a more manufacturer-led, transactional sale to a solution-led sale. At the same time, its services business grew by almost 50% over 2009.
From an innovation standpoint, TERACAI had a number of corporate highlights in 2010:
- Addition of data virtualization/data center practice and investment in its unified communication practice
- Achieved Cisco Systems' Specializations in Advanced Wireless LAN and Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure (DCNI)
- Completed major projects for healthcare and commercial customers; specifically a large configuration and deployment initiative for a large regional grocery chain
- Won a Famous Entrepreneurs Series Spotlight Award – garnered for its entrepreneurial spirit and based on the criteria of being an early-stage venture, showing great success
- Became an Onondaga County Resource Recovery Agency (OCRRA) Blue Ribbon Recycler
- Co-presenting sponsor of NY Tech Summit, lending subject matter expertise and content development in support of this premier Upstate New York educational technology conference and expo
Winners were announced at CenterState CEO's Annual Meeting on April 12 at the Onondaga County War Memorial. -- end --
