Barbara Ashkin is vice president and CFO of TERACAI and CXtec, where she is responsible for overseeing the financial condition and economic strategy of both companies. She managed and led the launch of TERACAI in 2009, which has been one of Cisco’s largest partners worldwide since its inception.
Ashkin has been with the TERACAI and CXtec companies since 2000, and has served in a number of roles, including chief operations officer and general manager. She has previously been employed by a regional shopping center developer. Ashkin is a certified public accountant and has held several positions in public and industry accounting.
Ashkin holds a master’s degree in accounting from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management and a bachelor’s degree from Syracuse University’s School of Arts and Sciences.
She is very involved in community efforts in Central New York and is on the board of trustees of the Everson Museum and the board of directors of Crouse Hospital. Ashkin has received a number of awards recognizing her excellence in business and community, including the American Red Cross of Central New York’s “Women Who Mean Business” Award in 2012, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Central New York’s “Woman of the Year” Award in 2005 and a Women in Business Award in 2001. She was also listed by VARBusiness Magazine as one of the 50 Most Powerful Women in the Channel in 2007.
