We have IT covered

You know how much depends on your network security measures. That’s why we want to keep you informed about your Cisco hardware.

Cisco ASA 5510 Series appliances many rely on have been declared end-of-life by Cisco.

Here is a list of some of the affectedCisco ASA 5510 part numbers:
  • ASA5510-BUN-K9
  • ASA5510-BUN-K9-RF
  • ASA5510-SEC-BUN-K9
  • ASA5510-AIP10-K9
  • ASA5510-CSC10-K9
  • ASA5510-K8-RF

Customers are encouraged to migrate to the newer Cisco ASA 5500-X Series, specifically the Cisco ASA 5512-X or ASA 5515-X. The Cisco ASA 5512-X and ASA 5515-X offer increased throughput, better interface density, and the ability to run services like IPS, AVC (Application Visibility and Control),WSE (Web Security Essentials), etc., without requiring a separate hardware module. Customers can choose the ASA 5512-X if they do not want high availability, which comes as a default option on the ASA 5515-X. Note that there is a license on the ASA 5512-X that enables high availability, should that be required later.
